📍 Inca, Central Mallorca
Every autumn, the town of Inca hosts Dijous Bo, the most famous and lively fair in Mallorca. It’s a celebration of agriculture, gastronomy, craftsmanship, and island culture that draws locals from every corner of Mallorca.
For residents, it’s the perfect opportunity to experience authentic Mallorcan life — colourful, noisy, traditional, and full of flavour.
🌾 What to Expect
During the week leading up to the main Thursday (“Dijous Bo” literally means Good Thursday), Inca transforms into a huge open-air market and festival. The streets and squares are filled with:
-
🧀 Local Products Market – Cheese, sobrasada, olive oil, honey, and artisan sweets
-
🐄 Agricultural & Livestock Exhibition – Horses, sheep, and native breeds of Mallorca
-
🍷 Wine & Gastronomy Area – Tapas stalls and local wineries offering tastings
-
🎨 Artisan & Craft Market – Leather goods (Inca is famous for them!), pottery, jewellery, and handmade items
-
🎶 Live Music & Performances – Folk groups, traditional ball de bot, and modern concerts in the evenings
And of course… the delicious smell of roasted chestnuts, churros, and street food fills the air.
