Quiet escapes for residents looking to relax, swim and disconnect.
Living in Mallorca comes with a huge advantage: you can enjoy the most beautiful spots. While many beaches get crowded in summer, there are still hidden corners where locals go to escape and as a resident, you can do the same.
Here are 5 lesser-known coves (calas) that offer peace, beauty, and a true sense of island life:
1️⃣ Cala Murta (Pollença)
A small, crystal-clear cove hidden in the Formentor area, only accessible by foot.

🚶 30-minute walk from the road (free parking nearby)
-
🌿 Surrounded by pine trees and goats
-
🧘 Perfect for reading, meditating, or a solo swim
-

2️⃣ Cala Tuent (Escorca)
A peaceful beach at the base of the Tramuntana mountains — dramatic, wild, and stunning.
