Like RS3 even is getting into OSRS gold handling numerous planes/planets/worlds, doing exactly the same with a mechscape wouldn’t be too out of this question. And skills could be modified in title. Hell, we could even go more outlaw star or star wars inspired and have magic.
I am not against Jagex creating a new game, they have got good employees on board who could definitely make something happen in another genre. Could being surgical, of course.
Considering their track record at developing games other than runescape, I’d prefer them to stay a onetrick pony.
In fact, even runescape’s own track record is not too great.
I’m not familiar with IFRS but I’d suppose that sold bonds operate sorta like gift cards, which I vaguely recall the best way to account for lol.
You will notice that if they contribute a number to every game (43M RS3, 65M OSRS), which adds up to 108M, but the true revenue throughout 2019 was 110.8M. Maybe part or all that unaccounted for 2.8M is unredeemed bonds.
You are not including additional income, merchandise at 2.6m and advertising revenue at 225k. Add them to the RS3 & OSRS numbers and it is logical.
It’s quite interesting that the massive boom in Cheap Rs gold population did little to stop the decrease of MTX revenue; I am inclined to think that 2019 was way, way worse for RS3’s MTX compared to stats (along with the document) say alone.
