I’m not against Jagex creating a new game, they’ve got great employees on OSRS gold board who could definitely make something happen in another genre. Could being surgical, needless to say.
Looking at their track record at developing games other than runescape, I would prefer them to remain a onetrick pony.
Actually, even runescape’s own track record isn’t too good.
I am not knowledgeable about IFRS but I would guess that sold bonds operate sorta like gift cards, which I vaguely recall the best way to account for lol.
You’re not adding other income, product at 2.6m and advertising revenue at 225k. Add them to the RS3 & OSRS numbers and it is logical.
It is very interesting that the huge boom in OSRS inhabitants did little to stop the decrease of MTX revenue; I’m inclined to think that 2019 was way, far worse for RS3’s MTX than the stats (and the record ) state alone.
OSRS is obviously doing gangbusters. No surprise there, the Buy Runescape gold game’s been doing amazingly well and everyone understands it.
I would recommend getting cautious, however; I remember a couple of months ago there were rumors that the bigwigs were starting to seem to OSRS since the long run due to the financials, and this sort of data would actually encourage that talk.
